Featuring artists Laurence Hervieux-Gosselin and Derek Peel, This Must Be the Place delves into concepts of “Home” as it relates to the psyche. The two artists’ works bring to question perceptions of reality, privacy, isolation, and anxiety driven habits. 

Laurence Hervieux-Gosselin is a photographer based in Montreal and Syracuse (NY). She is currently an MFA candidate in Art Photography at the College of Visual and Performing Arts of Syracuse University. 

Derek Peel is a sculpture and installation artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her work is currently on view at 707 Gallery in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District through December 31st
